What we build

Most of our work falls into five areas

Delta Recon, our reconciliation product, came out of the same work.

Investment management applications

Security master, portfolio monitoring, treasury, risk, compliance and operational workflow systems. Usually the thing a spreadsheet has been doing for too long.

Data integration

Portfolio accounting, trading, risk, fund administration and whatever else holds the data. Ingestion, transformation, validation and automated processing, with failures surfaced rather than hidden.

Data warehousing

Accounting, administrator, trading, risk and market data in one time-series single source of truth, so every report and every downstream system reads the same numbers. This is the work we have done most: two decades of warehouses for hedge funds and private equity managers, including the one behind the Geneva migration below.

Reporting and analytics

Financial reporting, portfolio analytics, operational dashboards and automated report runs. Legacy reporting and complex Excel processes modernized, which usually means migrated and then retired.

Workflow automation

Reconciliations, data validation, exception management, approvals and the recurring processes someone currently runs by hand.

Delta Recon

Our reconciliation and operational controls product. Configurable matching, automated integrations, AI-assisted setup and break analysis. Built with the same process we use for client work.

How we work

Senior engineers, working directly with you

Custom financial software used to be expensive and slow: several developers, long schedules and a lot of coordination. That has changed. AI-assisted development is not a demo for us. It is how the projects below were built.

Every project is led by a senior engineer who works directly with you. Specialists are brought in when a project needs them.

  1. 01

    Discovery and design

We sit with the people who do the work and learn the systems, the data, the workflows and the problems. Together we define the end state and agree how to get there.

  2. 02

    Rapid prototyping

A working prototype arrives in days, so you can judge the approach before committing to the full build.

  3. 03

    Iterative development

Once the approach is agreed, we set up the environment and the delivery process. Working software ships early and is refined through regular feedback from the people using it.

  4. 04

    Engineering oversight

AI writes much of the code. An experienced engineer owns all of it: architecture, review, testing and deployment. Everything lives in secure, version-controlled repositories.

Selected work

Three recent projects

Accounting system migration and data warehouse

About 350 hours. Estimated 1,500 to 2,000 the old way.

A fund moved from an in-house Geneva accounting system to its fund administrator's platform. We designed and built the data warehouse and migrated about 50 reports and data extracts.

The work took about 350 hours with AI-assisted development. On similar projects before that, the same scope took 1,500 to 2,000.

Delta Recon: AI-assisted reconciliation and operational controls

Built part-time in under three months

Delta Recon is our reconciliation and operational controls product: configurable reconciliation engines, automated data integrations, AI-assisted configuration and break analysis, exception management and operational dashboards.

It had been on the list for years. With AI-assisted development it was built part-time in under three months. deltarecon.ai

Investran report comparison and migration automation

In use at three large investment firms

An Investran upgrade means re-validating every report. This platform runs the reports on both versions, finds the differences and uses AI to classify each one and explain what to fix.

Three large investment firms use it. It took most of the manual effort out of validating reports during their upgrades.

Financial systems

Geneva, Investran, fund administrator platforms, trading and portfolio accounting systems.

Engineering and data

Microsoft Azure, .NET, C#, SQL Server, Python, data warehousing, APIs and enterprise integrations.

Reporting and automation

Excel, VBA, financial reporting, workflow automation and AI-assisted development.
